The Indonesian Tempe Forum has been involved in the National Codex Committee for developing tempe standard. On June 7-9, 2010 Dady Maskar and Dr. Made Astawan attended the 10th Meeting of the ASEAN Task Force on Codex (ATFC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on behalf of Indonesian Tempe Forum (ITF) as members of Indonesian Delegates. The presence of ITF in this meeting was formally requested by Indonesian Codex Coordinator to strengthen the Indonesian position on proposing draft standard for tempe to Asia Codex Committee (ACC).
The ITF National Quarterly Meeting & National Seminar on Tempe has successfully conducted on May 20, 2010 at the Acacia Hotel Jakarta. The event was conducted in collaboration with MercyCorps International Indonesia.
The Indonesian Tempe Forum in collaboration with Department of Trade and Industry, Local Government of Medan City has successfully conducted training on Good Hygienic Practices Application in the Tempe Production in Medan on May 10, 2010.The training was targeted to all tempe producer in Medan City and was participated by 39 tempe producers in Medan.
1. The Indonesian Tempe Forum Quarterly Meeting (Semarang, January 30, 2009)
This socialization was followed by 50 participants. The aim of this meeting was to introduce the FTI and formation of FTI Central Java branch. Elected as chairman of the Central Java FTI was Dr. Harnina Bintari (Lecturer at the State University of Semarang).
