How Many Times Do You Eat Tempe in a Week?

Forum Tempe Indonesia (FTI) in collaboration with the Association of Medical Doctors Nutrition Indonesia Jakarta Raya (PDGMI Jaya), the American Soybean Association International Marketing (ASA IM), United Soybean Board (USB) has successfully organized 4th Soy SEMINAR: The Advantages of Consumption on Soyfood Health on 23 July 2011 in Jakarta. The seminar is sponsored by SOYJOY (PT Indah Otsuka Amrita).

Participants who attended the seminar consisted of 198 people consisting of 86 doctors (Appendix 2) and 112 people nutritionists (Appendix 3). In addition, there are also participants of the mass media (journalists). Opening and welcoming speech was delivered by prof. Rizal Syarief as chairman of the FTI and Mr. Yoshihiro Bando as a representative of PT. AIO.

The seminar runs from 7:30 to 13:00 o'clock pm. Implementation of the seminar was divided into two sessions. Session I discuss about Heath Soy Consumption Effects and moderated by Dady Soyfood Maskar Hidayat, ST, MSc, the American Soybean Association, consists of two speakers. Prof. Dr. Yukio Yamori (Head of the Institute of World Health Development, Mukogawa Women's University) discussed the "Soy Health Effects: Evaluating the Science, Overcoming the Misinformation". The second speaker was Dr. Susianto (Chairman of Indonesian Vegetarian Society - Faculty of Public Health, University of Indonesia) to discuss "Advantages of Soyfood Consumption for the Vegetarian Society."

Session II discusses about Obesity and Outcomes Research Latest moderated by dr. Agastya Vishnu Ward, internist Specialist. Dr. dr. Tirzah Z Tamin, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist (Consultant in Obesity Clinic of Physical Medicine Rehabilitation Department Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia & Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital) discussed the "Comprehensive Management of Obesity, a physiatrist Perspectives". And Prof.. Dr. Ir Made Astawan, MS (Department of Food Science & Technology, Bogor Institute Agricltural) discusses "Finding Research Update on Health and Nutrition Benefits of Fruit Soy Bar".
